Health Benefits of Tea

Taking a few minutes for a cup of tea can have it's own therapeutic benefits.  Turn off your phone, close your laptop and enjoy a few quiet minutes of old-fashioned quiet-time sipping tea.

Green tea, in particular, has received a lot of attention recently for it's antioxidant benefits.  Drinking green tea may help prevent several types of cancers. Studies have shown that people who drink green tea regularly have lower bad cholesterol and higher good cholesterol.
Black teas are made from the same plant as green teas.  The additional processing given to these types of teas reduces the natural elements that are known to give health benefits, although some of these elements may still be present.
Herbal teas are made from a variety of different dried leaves, pieces of ripe fruit, flowers, grasses, nuts, barks, seeds or other botanicals.  Such herbs have been used for centuries by cultures around the world for their healing properties..

Herbal teas are usually a caffeine-free and flavorful alternative to sugary drinks, with enough variety to keep hydration interesting.
